My Daughter and I had a great time attending the Mother Daughter date night. It was fun to connect with my daughter in a different way. We enjoyed spending time with each other and talking about our feelings and sharing how we feel about each other. My daughter’s take away was sweet. The day after our date night, she had left the journal that was given to her on the table, inside it she had written a bunch of I am statements. The first I am statement was the one I gave her on her bracelet and then she listed several others she thought of herself. I loved that she walked away from this night knowing how I feel about her, finding ways to see good in other girls around her, and with some tools she can use each day in her life. The lessons taught were both great for daughters and great reminders for us as women. -Diana Rees mom of 2, ultra athlete
